I was once like you. Slogging through the workday in a cloud of constant distraction and interruption. I’d be lucky to get a single thing done on my to-do list for the day. And then there were the endless and pointless meetings, thinly veiled ego stroking sessions. I was not getting things done.
But then I stopped and really thought about how I was was working and decided to do a top-down gut renovation on my productivity framework. The only rule for this reinvention was that nothing was sacred — rituals, habits, tools — everything was up for review and replacement. And it worked. After tossing the old and welcoming the new, I am more productive than I have ever been and you probably every will be.
